Murder Ballads tråden

#1 Post by La Mouche » 05.12.2017 19:43:21

My father was a judge, a solitary man
He beat me to cry, with the back of his hand
I played with my sisters, he said I played too rough
It seems to me son, I didn't beat you enough
You're no good. He said I'm no good
You're no good. He said "son, you're no good"

I went for my schooling and I faced the wall
"Tommy Burns" said the teacher, "can you hear me at all?"
I sweep down the hall ways, and I sweep up the grounds
And the boss he tells me that I'm late on my rounds
I'm no good. Oh they say I'm no good
I'm no good. They say I'm no good

I once had a songbird with a broken wing
I cried and I cried. Oh it never would sing
I once had a songbird. The apple of my eye
I put it in the killing jar just to watch him die
I once had a sweet heart. Caught her running around
I hit her with a log chain and I put her in the ground
I once had a sweetheart, oh a pretty little thing
I knelt in her cold grave and I took back my ring
I'm no good. They say I'm no good
I'm no good. You see I'm no good
I'm no good. They say I'm no good
I'm no good. I'm no good

Youtube comment: "Such a great creepy song. I asked him to play it once and he just laughed and moved on. I think even he is creeped out by it. Thanks for posting"

wiki
"Hey Joe" is an American popular song from the 1960s that has become a rock standard and has been performed in many musical styles by hundreds of different artists.[2][3] "Hey Joe" tells the story of a man who is on the run and planning to head to Mexico after shooting his unfaithful wife.[4] The song was registered for copyright in the United States in 1962 by Billy Roberts.[5] However, diverse credits and claims have led to confusion about the song's authorship.[4] The earliest known commercial recording of the song is the late-1965 single by the Los Angeles garage band the Leaves; the band then re-recorded the track and released it in 1966 as a follow-up single which became a hit.[6] The best-known version is the Jimi Hendrix Experience's 1966 recording.[7] The song title is sometimes given as "Hey Joe, Where You Gonna Go?" or similar variations.

Down in old Mexico where a child will slap your face
Down in old Mexico where a child will slap your face
They make a bread with cayenne pepper, drink gun powder to kill the taste
Women down in Mexico they's bad as bad can be
Women in old Mexico they're bad as bad can be
They eats rattlesnakes for breakfast and drink the rattlesnakes' blood for tea
Down in old Mexico their bed is made out of thorns and trees
Bed is made out of thorn trees and the pillows out of rocks and stones
They got rattlesnakes for body guards, wildcats will watch over them all night long
I'm going back to old Mexico where there's long, long reaching guns
I'm going to old Mexico where there's long, long reaching guns
When they want real excitement they kill each other one by one
Down in old Mexico where's everybody's wild and free
Down in old Mexico where everybody's wild and free
'Cause over here in this country they don't kill 'em fast enough for me
Down in old Mexico where they kill 'em both night and day
Down in old Mexico where they kill 'em both night and day
Where the chief locks up the jail house and the judge goes home and stays

Glaucoma, iritis, cataract, crystallised cataract, a nebula in the pupil, conjunctivitis, torn retina, blood accumulation and abscesses

http://doloreanmusic.com/track/hannibal-mo

The summers are hot in Hannibal
The summers there are unbearable
So we'd steal down to the water's edge
And cool off in the river's ebb
One night we decided what we would do
Swim to the middle ‘til our strength gave out
Where the current was strong and deep
Together we'd be pulled down to sleep
So we swam ‘til our bodies were weak
I watched my true love get washed out to sea
I felt a terrible grip from beneath
The river took her but it didn't take me

Violent Femmes.

WIKI: ""Country Death Song", for example, was based on a true story from an 1862 news article about a man who intentionally threw his daughter into a well and then hanged himself in his barn. It was written by Gano during his 10th grade study hall. "

I had me a wife, I had me some daughters.
I tried so hard, I never knew still waters.
Nothing to eat and nothing to drink.
Nothing for a man to do but sit around and think.
Nothing for a man to do but sit around and think.
Well, I'm a thinkin' and thinkin', till there's nothin' I ain't thunk.
Breathing in the stink, till finally I stunk.
It was at that time, I swear I lost my mind.
I started making plans to kill my own kind.
I started making plans to kill my own kind.
Come little daughter, " I said to the youngest one,
Put your coat on, we'll have some fun.
We'll go out to mountains, the one to explore.
Her face then lit up, I was standing by the door.
Her face then lit up, I was standing by the door.
Come little daughter, I will carry the lanterns.
We'll go out tonight, we'll go to the caverns.
We'll go out tonight, we'll go to the caves.
Kiss your mother goodnight and remember that God saves.
Kiss your mother goodnight and remember that God saves.
A led her to a hole, a deep black well.
I said "make a wish, make sure and not tell and
Close you're eyes dear, and count to seven.
You know your papa loves you, good children go to heaven.
You know your papa loves you, good children go to heaven.
I gave her a push, I gave her a shove.
I pushed with all my might, I pushed with all my love.
I through my child into a bottomless pit.
She was screaming as she fell, but I never heard her hit.
She was screaming as she fell, but I never heard her hit.
Gather round boys to this tale that I tell.
You want to know how to take a short trip to hell?
It's guaranteed to get your own place in hell.
Just take your lovely daughter and push her in the well.
Take your lovely daughter and throw her in the well.
Don't speak to me of lovers, with a broken heart.
You want to know what can really tear you apart?
I'm going out to the barn, will I never stop in pain?
I'm going out to the barn, to hang myself in shame.
