Jarvis, here seen as the voice of the people, pricked the balloon, and the big men on stage disguised as deprived Third Worlders jumped him. Naturally he lost his balance, as you do when grown-up men try to mount you, and on the way down may have brushed some poor, poor babies whose parents are now reported to be considering legal action.

It is also alleged he stepped on someone's toe which any reasonable person would agree is almost the worst thing you could do to a child.

Anyway, after the "show", the Emperor's army apprehended the boy who had laughed, and he spent the night in the deep, cold dungeons. But all the people of the city had seen what happened and they whispered behind the Emperor's back, and spoke only well of the boy...

The destruction of the rainforests and the plight of the world's poor, which is what Jackson's performance was "about", are real and serious problems. Michael Jackson is a great musician and a great dancer. Unfortunately, he is also turning into a great prat.

So I say: Free the Pulp One! Use all means to defend citizen Cocker."

Dance encourages the body to move without permission. That's a fundamental flaw. It must be solved.

Obskur elektro med håndklap. Det var ikke som sådan at jeg nominerede det, postede bare videoer.

Alle bør stemme på The Bridge, fordi det er den måske mest klassiske instrumental i hiphop og starten til konflikten mellem MC Shan og Juice Crew og BDP, der svarede igen med The Bridge Is Over, og fordi Marley Marl var kongen af 1986.

Selvfølgelig stemt på både The Bridge og Shook Ones 8)

Derudover må jeg også sige at Olatunji udgaven af My Favorite Things er noget af det mest konge, der eksisterer.

Hvis Eno var så konge, ville han slet ikke møde op til Brit Awards i første omgang. Awardshows er jo dét mest pinlige i verden. Her har du en medalje, klap klap klap, hvor er du en dygtig rigtig kunstner. Altså, man er jo komplet langt ude hvis man tager dét alvorligt. MJ eksponerede i virkeligheden bare (helt klart uden selv at fatte noget) det oppustede kunstner-ego, som alle de protestantiske briter troede de havde gemt godt væk bag god smag, socialisering og behersket selviscenesættelse. Ind vader MJ med sin manglende dannelse og tordnende jesuskomplekser og bryder hele illusionen. Det er sgu da ham og ikke Jarvis der er narren. Jeg holder med MJ.

To all those at MTV,

I would like to start by thanking you all for the support you have given me over recent years and I am both grateful and flattered by the nominations that I have received for Best Male Artist. The air play given to both the Kylie Minogue and P. J. Harvey duets from my latest album Murder Ballads has not gone unnoticed and has been greatly appreciated. So again my sincere thanks.

Having said that, I feel that it's necessary for me to request that my nomination for best male artist be withdrawn and furthermore any awards or nominations for such awards that may arise in later years be presented to those who feel more comfortable with the competitive nature of these award ceremonies. I myself, do not. I have always been of the opinion that my music is unique and individual and exists beyond the realms inhabited by those who would reduce things to mere measuring. I am in competition with no-one.

My relationship with my muse is a delicate one at the best of times and I feel that it is my duty to protect her from influences that may offend her fragile nature.

She comes to me with the gift of song and in return I treat her with the respect I feel she deserves — in this case this means not subjecting her to the indignities of judgement and competition. My muse is not a horse and I am in no horse race and if indeed she was, still I would not harness her to this tumbrel — this bloody cart of severed heads and glittering prizes. My muse may spook! May bolt! May abandon me completely!

So once again, to the people at MTV, I appreciate the zeal and energy that was put behind my last record, I truly do and say thank you and again I say thank you but no...no thank you.
